RE

At Allenton Community Primary school, we want to ensure that all children gain an increasing understanding of the importance of the diversity of religious and non-religious world views, while exploring their own beliefs and questions of meaning. We want to enable our children to thrive as members of their communities and as citizens in a diverse society.

Through the RE curriculum at Allenton Community Primary School, we aim to:

  • Educate children about the major religions in British Society.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of differing viewpoints.
  • Help children explore their own, and others, spirituality and beliefs thereby giving them a sense of identity and community.

The RE curriculum is based on the ‘Derby City  Syllabus for Religious Education 2025-2030’.

As determined by the UK Government Parents have the right to withdraw their children from religious education and/or collective worship, please contact the Head of School should you wish to exercise this right.
